Meet little William. He is 2 months old and already holding that head up. We very very tickled at that.. He was just happy go lucky the whole session. He got a little hungry and we took care of that.. Had a little spit up or you could say alot of spit up..lol.. and I had to go digging in my closet for another black top. And we had a winner..lol.. I only have like 100 black tops.. But I wanted to say thank you to mom for driving over an hour so I could photograph her little guy. He is just a dream!

I hope that each session we have that the child goes away thinking "hey now that was fun" and I can almost say for sure little Caleb thought so by the end of his session..lol.. He had the sweetest little smile, ran, played, and jumped...And to me that is what it's all about.. FUN! But at the end that is when the real party started. See, these were for his 1st Birthday and what do you have for birthday? Yes, CAKE and he liked it a whole lot.... Caleb Happy First Birthday and I hope you had a great one!

I was so happy to be able to go meet this sweet sweet couple. They have been married over 60 YEARS! How awesome is that?! Ok, I love newborns! You can not get any sweeter than a little baby..lol.. And this little one was perfect during the session.. The only set back is I had to wash every blanket I brought..lol.. If you know what I mean, hey that's what babies do though..lol.. Little Jasper was a dream though and I thank his mommy for letting me come out and capture some sweet little pictures....

The top 3 babies will be judged by a panel of photographers.

Baby Cole came to visit my new in-home studio for his 6 month pictures, and boy is this little one just so cute. He smiled and laughed and played the whole time. The perfect little boy. I love that I get to see the little ones grow. After the studio shots we took it outside to one of my favorite locations... I am glad the weather worked for us. It was just right.. Most of the shots outside little Cole has his hands in his mouth. He loved the grass.. Thanks Laura for driving up!

Meet little Sawyer. He was just a doll. He was nice and asleep when I got there, and then as soon as mom handed him over to me we was awake for the next two hours. He thought he was going to fight sleep and I would give up..lol.. Nope, at one point he finely went off to sleep. Then game on!...lol.. I wanted sleepy shots, I got sleepy shots..lol.. And look at that face! I can't believe I get to do this for WORK..lol.. He is beautiful and God's perfect creation...I am so blessed to be able to work with sweet sweet babies.... Oh, my favorite shot is the paci shot..It was so cute and made me laugh, so I had to leave it in. Too, I loved the colors on it.. Well Thanks to mom for letting me come and capture these sweet moments that only last for a blink of the eye..I enjoyed it so much!

Todays session was so super fun. Cold, but fun..It started with a little mud riding to get to the location...Then once we all got things set we started shooting. I tried to work fast because it was soooo cold and windy.. It's no fun battling the wind in people's hair..lol.. You can tell alot about a family when you get all 19 (or 20 counting the sweet puppy Mattie) together. I had the most fun with this session. We got up to Morris Ave early Sunday morning while it was still a little cool. And it was a good thing. By the time we left Morris Ave. was filled with photographers.. I can see why. There are so many neat places to shoot there.

Caroline had the wardrobe covered as well.. Which I new she would. She was so fun and funny. Had me laughing so hard one time I cried, and she can make the best fish face..lol.. Discovery Weekend FUMC 2009

This weekend was amazing! I had the pleasure of photographing Discovery Weekend for FUMC...It's were the 6th and 7th graders come and the Senior Highs mentor them all weekend long... They have fun, play games, do all kinds of activities, but also get down in dirty in the scriptures.. What a Blessing it was to be a part of it...Here is the slide show that I put together for the final day of Discovery... Just so you will understand it, if you were not there. The apple activity was sooooooooo powerful. It's were they wrote on their apple things that keep them from being as close to God as they could be.. Then they went and smashed them! Giving it all up to God! We all should do that activity.. Very Strong.. Then we had a prayer service and the Junior Highs got to light a candle with their family... What a beautiful service that was... All I have to say is GOD IS GOOD!

What a day! First thing this morning William, I and the girls got up to go support some of our Church family at the Autism Walk in Sylacauga. Did you know that 1 in every 150 children are affected by autism? That's a large # and more people need to be aware of this...But the girls had a great time Bradyn had fun blowing bubbles and Saylor got her face painted.

Then off to our Church Easter Egg Hunt. It's so funny watching the little ones go after those eggs..lol.. Saylor found a prize egg and was so excited about that. I also captured a few other cute faces.. It was a fun day and then we came home and dyed eggs.. Gosh we are a mess now. And Mom is tired. I am wishing everyone a wonderful Easter...

Faces of Hope..... This is one of 12 faces that will be featured in the Relay for Life Survivor Calender this year, and I am so excited to be part of this. Today was our first photo shoot for the calender and it was a pleasure to meet Mrs. Marie. We talked about how her battle with cancer effected her and how it made her stronger and it made her relationship with God that much closer. These women are so strong and I really look up to them. At the end I even shed a few tears just thinking about what a struggle it must be to go through something like that. I want to share a scripture with you that I read just a day or so ago on a friends facebook.

A person standing along can be attacked and defeated, but two men can stand back to back and conquer.

Ecclesiastes 4:12 NLT.

We can conquer this disease called Cancer, but we must stand together.... I want to thank all the women that are taking part in this calender, and that are giving hope to those who might have a hard time finding it....

Spring Break...

It's spring break, so me and the girls have been out and about spending time together. This week has been so beautiful I decided to take advantage of it and take Saylor to Botanical Gardens to get her spring pictures done. It seems like Bradyn is always getting her picture taken, but I guess it's because I have her all the time. So today it was all Saylor. And I think she works the camera well, but we had a few issues.. Like bees, and her not wanting to take off her flip flops..lol.. I only ran screaming once from a bee...lol.. So I guess she gets it honest:) It was fun, but now I'm pooped! I hope all of you are enjoying this wonderful weather..

Today me and my little sissy went out to Mistletoe Bough for a test shoot. I always like to have a plan in place if I can before the event. It was so nice. Perfect weather to get out in. I thought I would only be there for about 30 minutes or so, but I always loose track of time when I'm shooting. As you can see I keep it simple. No fancy Easter props... I did like the little bunny though. Her Mammaw gave that to her last year for Easter. To me less is more.... I do think though she looks like a little Southern Belle...

Walk in the beautiful gardens, sit and relax on the patio, or simply rock on one of the spacious porches. The inn is an enchanting Queen Anne mansion characterized by a variety of chimneys, a two-story corner turret, and a wrap-around veranda - perfect for relaxing on warm evenings or lazy afternoon.

Treasured Generations

I wanted to give those of you who come to my blog for all my updates the first look at our Treasured Generation shoot we will be doing April 18th at Buttons & Bows. This is a one day event and sessions are very limited. I will let everyone know when they are going to start taking bookings. And I do plan on having Easter Pictures, just working on getting dates set. I will post more information about Easter Pictures within the next week.

My little girl loves to dance, and it's getting closer to time for the big show. So today we headed to BlueMoon Studios to play around and see if we could get anything for the program book. Funny thing is we did not get that many shots of her in her costume, it was too itchy she said.. Baby Marlie

What a sweet pea! I can tell she is going to be a mommy's little girl. When she was awake, she wanted her mommy..lol.. Loves to be held.. I had to take a few turns at holding and rocking her though. I even got her to go to sleep for a few minutes. We had a few messes to clean up, but other than that it was a perfect shoot.. She is a sweetheart and totally gets it from her mom.. Thank you for letting me come out today and work with you guys. I'll see you again in a few months.

Baby Claire

This morning I got to get up and photograph this sweet little angel.. Little Claire is just the sweetest thing. She did not fuss at all.. She just got hungry during the session. She started sucking those fingers and I knew what was up... So we took a break, let her have some breakfast, then we continued on.. This is a pictureperfect family... Just so sweet. Dad even stayed home for a while to have his picture made with his sweet little Claire. I want to thank you for letting me come in your home and move all your furniture around...lol.. It was a joy. And Claire added some sunshine to my day..

to hang out and play dress up... I have two girls myself so that's what I do.. I want to Thank Tammy and Carlee (hope spelling is correct, if not just call me) for allowing me to come out and work with them.. I love the arts, so the dance photographs I LOVE!.. A few weeks ago I had the pleasure of doing this father and son session, which they are very special to me.. They are some of mine and my husband's closest friends. So when asked I was honored:) The session was a Christmas gift to David's wife and K.J.'s mom... So I could not publish it until Christmas..lol.. Even though I was about to die to get it up. Our Little Dancer

This past Sunday we got to watch out little dancer perform "Away in a Manger" at a local church. They have been working on this for months. They have also had the chance to perform for people at one of our Nursing Homes in town.. What a blessing that was... Not only can we share wrapped gifts, but what makes Christmas so special is unwrapping our hearts and giving of ourselves... That is the best gift to give... I want to wish everyone that has allowed me to work with them these last few months a warm and wonderful Christmas.... God Bless:)

Senior Session

Today I got to spend some time with another Senior.. I remember them times... So much fun! I think where does the time go? We had a great time though, but about froze to death..lol.. My mouth was so cold I could hardly talk... and I kept tripping and hitting my self with the camera...lol.. It had to be the freezing weather, but it was a beautiful day.... I know Allyson was happy for this day to come. We scheduled for November and due to sickness and rain we are just now getting to shoot... Thanks Allyson for coming out and putting up with the cold... In the beginning

Well I was up this morning at 4:30 am.. What is wrong with me?...lol.. I have one child at a friends house and my other daughter will sleep all day if you let her..And here I am before the chickens wake up... So I thought I would look through some old photos and show some that sparked my interest in photography.. These are some photo's that were scanned in and look way better on paper, but 7 years ago this is when I really picked up my camera and said "hey this is pretty neat and pretty fun". Now seven years have passed and I'm making a go of what I thought was only a dream... Some tips I can give you now... Something I live by... Set goals and follow through with them.. That is how you make your dreams come true...They don't come to you, you have to go get them... With me I started to crawl 7 years ago, and now I think I'm beginning to take baby steps..lol.. and one day I hope to run with this craft you call photography:)

What a sweet little angel...This morning I had another sweet newborn session.. I love to photograph the babes... Little Ella was so cute.. Had the sweetest little baby cheeks... She did fall into a short slumber and that's when we captured these precious shots... Oh, and I had the joy of holding her for about 15 to 20 minutes which was a joy... I did not want to put her down, but I had to get to work..lol.. Thank you for coming out this morning in the rain for the photo shoot Mom..... It was so nice to meet you and look forward to holding that angel of yours again... I am up for babysitting anytime..:)

Thanksgiving

I hope everyone had a warm and wonderful holiday.. Another Thanksgiving come and gone. We went to my Uncle Danny's house in New Site for Thanksgiving this year and had a wonderful time. My brother and sister were there and cousins I have not seen in years were there with their family's...Just so great to see everyone and catch up.. Had some great laughs and got to think back on alot of memories we all had there. My uncle took William, me and the girls to my grandmothers old house place. She passed away in 1993 and I have only been there maybe once since then...I was almost to tears while I was there, but just thinking about how warm and sweet my grandmother was I had a smile on my face at the same time. I know she is an angel watching down on me at this very moment... It was so nice to reflect on all those days I spent with her. We got to check out a barn my father and his bother Mike built when they were kids, it is the back drop of the photos of the girls... Its was just a great day! Just thought I would share.....

Time with Santa

Friday and Saturday I was up at BlueMoon helping with their Santa Shoot.. While I was there Saturday Saylor and Bradyn got to spend some time with Santa and these are a few of the pictures I took... Unfortunately I was sick Saturday and really tried to tough it out, but by lunch I could hardly stand up... The rest of the day Saturday and all day Sunday I was in the bed dying (what I thought).... Today I am up trying to move around... Anyway I did want to share our Santa pictures with you... The girls had the best time with santa... When other children were not with him they were right back in his lap...lol.. I am wishing everyone a great Thanksgiving Holiday....

Cool Senior Session...

What a pretty day to go out and shoot a senior session. I was so excited all day long... The only thing working against us was the coolness and the wind...But other than that it was a great and fun shoot. Yates Family Reunion....

Today I had the chance to spend some time with some family (heck) I did not even know I knew..lol.. That's what a reunion is all about I guess... It was a perfect day to catch up with everyone. I got the photo of my dad and my Uncle Danny.. They were posing for everyone else and I thought the expression on my dads face was so funny... Like " get it over already "...lol.. Then my sister Diane had broken out the video camera and I got her taping my dad... Then the last is my sister and I.. Today was just an all around fun shoot.. It was overcast so it was perfect for some outside shots.. Only thing was a few wet benches and steps that had to be wiped down.. We had a good time walking around downtown Alex City looking for cool little spots for pictures.. To my surprise we found a ton! What a great town with old buildings. I LOVE THAT! I want to say thank you guys for coming and hanging out with me you were so much fun to work with.....Until next time.
